Short on time but needs a meat dish? This 15-minute steak recipe is for you!

Ingredients

  • 10 oz New York Strip Steak

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked pepper

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Aromatics (rosemary, thyme, etc.)

Step-by-steps

  1. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel and massage the salt, pepper into the steak

  2. Heat a non-stick pan on high heat, it's ready when a water droplet becomes a bead as opposed to evaporating

  3. Add in the steak, turn after 3 minutes, cook for 3 more minutes

  4. When both sides have turned brown, throw in butter (and aromatics) and baste the steak to continue cooking

  5. After 2 minutes, or when the butter has evaporated, take the steak out to rest.

  6. Allow the steak to rest for at least 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
