Steak fried rice is my comfort food! Quick, simple, but packed with flavors.
Ingredients
8 oz ribeye steak
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 cups cooked rice (preferably chilled overnight)
3 eggs
4 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 inch of ginger root (minced)
1 bunch of green onions (approximately 5-8)
A pinch of chicken bouillon powder
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Step-by-steps
Portion the ribeye into bite-sized pieces, then season with salt and pepper
Slice green onions, separate the green ends and the white ends.
Heat a non-stick pan on high heat, and add oils with high smoking points (peanut oil/ corn oil)
Add in order ginger root, garlic, the white ends of green onions, and steak
Remove all from the pan when the steaks are cooked to rare (or with a light brown color)
Add in the chilled rice, and break apart with your spatula.
Add in the eggs, and continue tossing until eggs and rice are well combined.
Add in soy sauce, chicken bouillon powder, and salt to taste.
Return the steak to the pan, and add the green ends of green onions.
Continue tossing. After a couple of minutes, the steak should be medium-rare, and the fried rice is done!
Looks incredible- can't wait to try it!
